Australia – 2015 Full Master Scholarships at South Australia University

The University of South Australia is a globally-focused, locally-engaged institution established on the dual principles of equity and excellence. With more than 33,000 students, the university is South Australia’s largest and has more than 10,000 International students. The University of South Australia is inviting applications for the President’s Scholarships available for Australian and International students and awarded on the basis of academic merit. Scholarships are available to support students enrolling in areas of research concentration and research strength and are nearly always given to doctorate by research candidates but can be given to masters


Description of Ideal Candidate:
In order to be eligible for the scholarship you must have a University of South Australia supervisor willing to nominate you for consideration and outstanding academic records, and be a citizen of an overseas country eligible for entry to Australia for the time required to complete the research degree.

Criteria for Australian applicants:
Generally an applicant must have first-class Honours or equivalent to be eligible;
Scholarships are awarded on the basis that the candidate will be studying full-time. In some cases, candidates can apply to receive scholarships on a part-time basis if there are compelling social reasons (eg the need to provide full-time care of children, disabled, sick, injured or elderly). The need to undertake part- or full-time work is not considered a compelling social reason.


Criteria for International applicants:
Generally an applicant must have first-class Honours or equivalent to be eligible;
An awardee must be enrolled on a full-time basis as a candidate for a Masters by Research or PhD at the University of South Australia.
An awardee shall be enrolled as an internal candidate at the University of South Australia.

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, a Fulbright exchange activity sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, brings accomplished professionals from selected developing and emerging countries to the United States for ten months of non-degree study and professional development. Nominated by U.S. Embassies or Fulbright Commissions at a mid-point in their careers, Fellows are selected through competitive review based on their potential for leadership, commitment to public service and professional expertise.
 The Humphrey Program was initiated in 1978 to honor the memory and accomplishments of the late Senator and Vice President, Hubert H. Humphrey.

Areas of Selection:
Fellows are selected based on their potential for national leadership and commitment to public service, in either the public or private sector in the following Humphrey fields: Agriculture & rural development; Communication/Journalism; Substance abuse education, treatment & prevention; Economic development; Finance & Banking; Educational administration, planning & policy; HIV/AIDS policy & prevention; Human resource management; Law & human rights; Natural resources, environment policy, & climate change; Public health policy management; Public policy analysis & public administration; Teaching of English as a foreign language; Technology policy & management; Trafficking in persons, policy & prevention; and Urban & regional planning.


Basic Eligibility Criteria
An undergraduate (first university or Bachelor's) degree
A minimum of five years of full-time, professional experience
Limited or no prior experience in the United States
Demonstrated leadership qualities
A record of public service in the community
English language ability

In 26 countries, the Humphrey Fellowship Program is administered by a Binational Fulbright Commission. In all other participating countries, the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy is charged with the operation of the Program.

What does the Fellowship provides?

Payment of tuition and fees at the assigned host university;
Pre-academic English language training, if required;
A maintenance (living) allowance, including a one-time settling-in allowance;
Accident and sickness coverage;
A book allowance;
A one-time computer subsidy;
Air travel (international travel to and from the U.S. for the Program and domestic travel to required program events);
A Professional Development allowance for professional activities, such as field trips, professional visits and conferences.


The Program provides a basis for establishing long-lasting productive partnerships and relationships between citizens of the United States and their counterparts in other countries, fostering an exchange of knowledge and mutual understanding throughout the world.

Hosting universities:
Fellows are placed at one of the participating USA universities.  Fellows are not able to choose which university they will attend. Rather, they are assigned  to the most appropriate host institution based on their area of interest and professional field..Click here

IPOET Scholarships for International Students in Sweden, 2015.

The International Programme Office for Education and Training (IPOET) , Sweden invites application for IPOET Scholarships.

The scholarship is available for international students from non-EU/EEA countries. It is awarded for pursuing one of current Master’s Programmes at Chalmers starting in 2015.

Chalmers will be offering around 50 IPOET scholarships in 2015, funded by the Swedish Council for Higher Education, to prospective fee-paying students. The scholarships are administered and awarded by Chalmers.

Mode of selection:
The selection is based on the applicants' relative academic excellence, which primarily includes weighted average grade but also home university´s stature (including position on global ranking lists) and priority order of the application for Chalmers Master´s programmes.

Fields of Study:
Unrestricted - all of the current Master’s Programmes at Chalmers starting in 2015.

Who can benefit?
Citizens from non-EU/EEA countries who are required to pay tuition fees for Swedish university education
1st year Master's Programme applicants


What does the scholarship cover?:
A 75% reduction of the tuition fees (4 semesters / 2 year programme)
Students who excel during their first year of studies may receive an increased scholarship reduction, which covers 85% of the tuition fee during the second and final year of studies
No funds are transferred to the scholarship laureates


How to Apply:
It is compulsory to submit an application for Chalmers’ Master’s Programmes at University admissions prior to making a scholarship application. You will be issued an  individual application number, which must be entered correctly in the scholarship application portal in order for them to access information about what Master’s Programmes you have applied to at Chalmers.
A personal link to the scholarship application portal will be sent to you via email once you have submitted some key information via the link. Note! If you do not have all necessary information at hand to complete all steps of the electronic application form, your scholarship application will not be considered.

Scholarship Application Deadline: The application deadline is 15 January 2015.
